What This Means for You

Existing Users

If you’ve been using the 2024 Zepbound Savings Card and plan to renew for 2025, your savings eligibility and cap may change based on your insurance coverage:

With Insurance Coverage: You save $150 per fill, with a max annual benefit of $1,950.

Without Insurance Coverage: Essentially those who were on the old pay as little as $550 card, you are grandfathered in through June 2025. For those who are currently on the pay as little as $650 card (or for those new to the program) you will retain those benefits. Note that both versions of this card expire on June 30, 2025, meaning you may need to reapply mid-year for continued support.

New Users

For those just starting Zepbound in 2025, the savings card offers similar structures, depending on your insurance coverage status. Carefully review the terms to understand your monthly costs and any limitations on fills or annual savings caps.

Potential Issues at the Pharmacy

If you’re an existing Zepbound user, a few common issues might arise with the new card:

1. Pharmacy System Updates: Some pharmacies may automatically update your card details. Always verify that the savings card number matches your current one, especially if your out-of-pocket costs appear higher.

2. Reaching Savings Cap or Refill Limit: If you hit the refill or savings cap early, this could increase your costs before the end of the year.

3. Switching Pharmacies: Moving to a new pharmacy may disrupt your card’s application. In these cases, contact Zepbound support for help transferring your existing benefits.

Conclusion: Better or Worse?

Essentially the new 2025 cards represent status quo for those currently enrolled.
