Started my now-monthly calls to pharmacies this afternoon. I decided I was going to ask if they had 10, 12.5, or 15 in stock (currently prescribed 12.5 but after the past 3 months searching I was ready to go up or back down).
There are 2 distributors in my area (150k population in 4 counties). McKesson (which most of the pharmacies use) and Cardinal. Those that use Cardinal (7 pharmacies in a the metro area) could usually get it while those using McKesson had limited if any luck. Due to customer service issues, I leave the Cardinal pharmacies as my last resort.
My calls usually start locally and my range is about 150 miles, I'm also keeping a close watch on Amazon pharmacy. I ended up completely shocked when my preferred pharmacy had a box in stock! Last month I was told "we can't even order it". Fingers and toes are now crossed that they can get my script transferred and that box in my hands pronto.
